A set that tells your story
A personalized mahjong set from Little Sparrow is not a stock design with a name added in the corner. It is a One of One commission: you bring the photographs, the drawings or simply the idea, and our studio designs a complete American Mahjong set around them. Once your design is approved it is made for you alone, and it is never sold or reproduced for anyone else.
Every set is handmade in Phoenix, Arizona. Each one is a complete American Mahjong (NMJL) set of 160 tiles: the 152-tile set, including 8 jokers, plus 8 spares. Each tile is 26 × 36 × 12 mm, cut from solid pure white acrylic, with your artwork UV-printed onto the face.
What people personalize
As few as one image or as many as you like — a single crest can repeat across the set, or every suit can carry its own picture, up to a distinct design on each of the 160 tiles. Popular starting points include:

How a personalized set is made
Send us what you have. You supply the images; we fit each one to a tile and make the small adjustments needed so the whole set reads as one consistent, beautiful collection. Colour, scale, balance and the safe margins on every tile are our work — the art stays yours, and you keep the rights to anything you supply.
You then see the complete set, tile by tile and in 3D, and give written approval before anything is printed. Revisions are unlimited. Design and approval typically take 3–4 weeks, depending on how quickly you return changes.
After approval, every tile is cut, tumbled, polished, finished and packaged by hand in our Phoenix studio, with your artwork UV-printed onto the face. Production typically takes about 4 weeks, then the set ships with tracking in its presentation case. US shipping is $15 per set; international shipping is calculated at checkout.
Price
A personalized One of One set is $499 at our introductory price, including the full 160-tile set. Add custom printed backs and the set is $748. You can order more than one set in a single checkout — useful when a whole family or group wants a matching table.
